Congratulations!
You’ve decided to get started improving your website!
Improving, redesigning, makingover – whatever we call it, your website will never be the same. And that’s a good thing. Once evaluated and improved, the website starts to accomplish your goals and make your life easier. You’ll have more confidence and less stress, with a website that helps make it possible.
The Web Improvement Plan is all about dividing your website into four categories , evaluating each, and then planning and producing the improvements . Sounds rather challenging, but your evaluation makes it all clear. You come away with where the problems lie and what needs to be done.
The parts – Design, Message, Search, and Share – when working together nicely, will produce leads, sales, and happy comments about your business. And that’s what’s important!
Let’s see what this Plan – Design • Message • Search • Share – is all about. (Design is a little different and has more options. To skip right to Message, Search, and Share, click here .)
First Impressions – Design
DESIGN Logo / Navigation / Organization
Your website gains a professional look and easy operation that invites visitors to return again and again.

Using the points from the Website Eval, we’ll see what’s going on with logo, navigation, and organization of your website.
- First Impression : What can we learn from your logo, colors, layout, navigation?
- Navigation/Organization : Are your navigation tabs named with words your prospects are looking for? Can visitors find what they need? Can they easily find their way back to the Home page?
- Using WordPress : Is the theme appropriate for your business? Has it been customized to convey your company’s branding? Or do you need to move to WordPress?
- WordPress Plugins & Widgets : Are your WordPress plugins and widgets working for you or just cluttering up the pages?
Design is the front end and the layout of your website. It’s essential that it be on the mark for your business. I assume your website has some flaws, or you would not be looking for a way to improve it.
I’ve written a 3-part series of posts about the “Flowers from Scratch” website transformation. See all the details of what can happen when you use the Website Eval and focus on the problems found. Find the posts here: The Eval • Gather Materials & Write • Implement in WordPress Website .
Getting Started with Design at your website.
Getting started with Erickson Creative – me - means you’ll receive a short questionnaire to fill out listing your goals for the website, along with other pertinent information. These details will appear immediately after you make your purchase. Using your questionnaire information and the Website Eval, I’ll compile a list of what I plan to improve .
The improved website will start to appear almost immediately. The total transformation will take as long as you need to do your part (writing, photos). While you are doing yours, I’ll be either fixing navigation or adjusting your new WordPress theme and plugins.

Choose one of the options below, click on Order Now, and look for the Questionnaire to get things rolling.

My mission is to deliver a decidedly improved website or, a plan for you to improve it yourself, that will help to accomplish your goals and to make your life easier. Using my skills spotting problems on websites, then solving them for you, you’re sure to become one of Erickson Creative’s satisfied customers. However, if you are not satisfied, I will reevaluate and revise until you are satisfied or refund your money, whichever you choose. Note: These services are offered for English language websites as I am an English-speaking person. I am not familiar enough with other lanuages to be able to improve websites in other languages. Just wanted to be clear.
Here Are the Other Three Components of the Plan
(Click on each tab.)
MESSAGE: Your Story + Special Offers Giving your visitors the answers they seek encourages them to trust your company and your products.

Are you telling your prospects all about your services and products with careful lists of features? That’s not working anymore, is it?
Prospects want answers , and you are the expert; instead of listing features, talk about the benefits, the results, the end product . Then, add some testimonials of users who talk about how they are using and benefiting from your services or products.
At the end of this you add a call-to-action – what you want them to do next.
I have compiled a helpful list of Resources for your Message step. Coaching, tips, blogs, courses and books – they are some of the same resources I used to improve this website.

SEARCH: Search Engine Optimization, Traffic Using the right words in titles, headings and stories will result in good ranking in searches and new visitors to your site.

Your company’s keywords need to be used all over your site , generating traffic as they go. If you have a blog , keywords should be used in the titles, the sub headings, and throughout the story. If you don’t have a blog, it’s the best traffic generator available . (Make that your next step.)
But how do you come up with these keywords? And what are those long-tailed keywords all about? I uncovered keyword discovery tools and SEO techniques with that old method: trial and error. I have a much better strategy for you, due to my experiments.

SHARE: Blog & Other Social Media Gain word-of-mouth credibility and authority by participating in social media and writing blog articles regularly.
Blogging, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Pinterest? What is the big deal about this media?
The Blog is one of the most important traffic building and prospect-pleasing parts of your website, It’s my recommendation for a must-have .
The social media outside your website are important as well. Discover where your prospects are – Twitter, Facebook, Linked In, Pinterest – and what media they are using to find products and services. If you already have any of these social networking accounts, take some time to learn how to make them effective lead-generators that also give you credibility and loyalty.
