Checking a blog on his WordPress website
FOR NEW WORDPRESS USERS
Are you thinking of going with WordPress, but you’re not anxious to learn another kind of software? I imagine you’re a little skeptical of anyone telling you it’s “really easy,” as those who already know how insist.
I’ve looked around the Web to locate a video, a book, a series of articles, whatever, that would make WordPress and blogging simple to learn and even better, quick work. Here’s my best find:
WordPress 101
The WordPress101 online video series claims to be (and I’ve tested it), “The Easiest Way to Learn How to Use WordPress.” There are 17 videos for online viewing, and each one is so professional and easy to understand that you master the concept without even trying. Finish one and you’ll want to go on to the next.
There’s a sample video for you to check it out. Then you purchase the 17-part series for $19 (one-time cost) for a lifetime membership and free updates. Then you may review any of the videos if you need a refresher. Here are the titles with links to the first ten:
- The Dashboard – Best intro I’ve seen!
- Create a New Post – Similar to my “Easy-Peasy” post- screen shots with labels and step-by-step
- Editing an Existing Post – Finish this one and realize it really is easy.
- Using Categories and Tags – Terminology concepts important for posts and SEO.
- How to Create and Edit Pages – Pages, not Posts. Pages mostly stay the same, but you’ll want to edit them from time to time.
- How to Add Photos and Images – Uploading and placing and deciding on size….
- How to Embed Video – Did you know video could be included in a post?
- Using the Media Library – Keep track of what you have. Add photos for future posts.
- Managing Comments – Excellent step-by-step and suggestions for replies.
- How to Create Links – Another interesting and effective part of posts (like the links in this one).
When you go to the website, be sure to check out the Testimonials. People don’t just say these videos are good; they rave.
The WordPress 101 videos have certainly gotten it right. There are videos on learning WordPress all over YouTube, but most are uneven with something left out. These videos have it all and it’s done right. People are talking. Check WordPress101 out on FaceBook and Twitter.
You can be a master of this WordPress thing, quickly and easily. Then YOU can say WordPress is “really easy.”
Let me know what YOU think of these videos… comment below or give me a tweet.

I’ve been touring the tutorials and I have to say, yours are killer. This, of course, means I don’t have to try to do videos. Thx again!
